COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE

☺    Sentences 1 to 5 are using comparative form adjectives and adverbs . The comparative compares one thing / person to another thing /person . A comparative is followed by than .

☺    Sentences 6 to 10 are using superlative form of adjectives and adverbs . The superlative compres one thing/person to all the rest in its group . A superlative begins with the .

☺    For one syllable adjectives or advverbs , we add –er (comparative) and –est (superlative).

☺    For most two syllables adjectives , we use more and most.

☺    Two syllables adjectives ending in –y have –ier  and –iest.

☺    For three –or-more – syllables adjectives or adverbs , we use more and most.
